LA DOYENNE ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF NEW DEMI-COUTURE WOMENSWEAR BRAND
The founders of new demi-couture line, La Doyenne celebrated the launch of their first collection, at a party at 44 Mercer in SOHO last night.
La Doyenne, founded by Laura Day Webb and Rachel Hearn, celebrates the modern woman and her desire for well-constructed, wearable pieces with a touch of whimsy. The luxe, demi-couture coats for Spring 2018 are the modern evolution of classic women’s outerwear. Each piece is made in New York City and is carefully constructed by hand.
The brand focuses on small collections and a limited number per design, making each garment truly unique to the woman who wears it. No detail has been left wanting with rich velvet-lined pockets and hand-finished, custom-designed, silk linings as their signature.
At the launch party last night amongst friends and press, champagne flowed freely while dancers from the Brooklyn Ballet performed adagios and modeled the coats. The La Doyenne website goes live tomorrow, and will be available for customers to place orders.
